Shared Auto in Hyderabad

This is the simplest and easy mode of transportation in Hyderabad. Some times autos are also hired and payed on metred basis. Please make sure that the meter is turned on only after you hire the auto. The meter rate is doubled during 10 at the night and 5 in the morning.

Buses in Hyderabad

Telangana State Road Transport Corporation buses and Metro Liners function in Hyderabad. While RTC buses are crammed during rush hour, Metro Liners are at ease but offer only a limited number of seats. The State Transportation Deluxe buses are much better compared to other state transport buses and they have good quality cushioned seats. If one wants comfortable journey then select Super Luxury or Deluxe buses. Buses are government operated and provides good connectivity around the city with low fares and also helps you reach your destination on time.

The minimum fare for city ordinary buses is Rs. 5 and cost of monthly bus passes is Rs.100. The general bus pass now cost Rs.650, Express bus pass is Rs.750 and the AC bus pass is Rs.950.

Taxis in Hyderabad

Taxis are not extensively used in Hyderabad, though prepaid taxis are accessible at the airport and  Nampally and Secunderabad railway stations. Moreover, travellers can arrange for taxi services from the comfort of their own hotel. Instead, there are auto rickshaws or autos that are commonly used by the people of Hyderabad. Taxis are regular cars but cannot be hailed in the street and need to be booked by telephone or at the offices of their dispatch centres. All taxis fares are metered and cost  around Rs 80 for the first 2 kilometres and Rs10 for every kilometre thereafter.

Railways in Hyderabad

There are four main railway stations for Hyderabad which are Nampally railway station, Kachiguda railway station, Secunderabad railway station, and Begumpet railway station.
